“Games for Culture” cluster
The “Games for Culture” cluster consists of gaming projects that have received funding from the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. Members meet on a regular basis. Representatives of relevant ongoing and completed gaming projects, as well as representatives from different Commission services, are invited.
The meeting will further foster collaboration between projects and between researchers and policymakers in relation to dissemination, knowledge sharing, and aligning policy feedback, with the goal of achieving a stronger collective impact. It is hoped that the meeting will strengthen collaboration, potentially leading to continued exchange among Gaming Cluster participants beyond the funding period.
During this meeting, the project coordinators involved will explore specific issues in depth (such as gaming and AI), generate insights and potential policy recommendations, and discuss further collaboration between projects as well as between researchers and policymakers. Projects will share evidence-based insights and formulate joint recommendations for policymakers based on their research. Ultimately, the aim is to provide additional input for the drafting of the EU Gaming Strategy and future work programmes.
The Gaming Cluster meeting is organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), the European Research Executive Agency (REA) Unit C1, and the Games for Culture Cluster (GCC). This is an internal Gaming Cluster meeting with policymakers and will take place in Brussels on 10 June.
